Training program for teenage boys, India

, ,

With a population of 1.3 billion, India has the highest number of young people in the world today. It is therefore important to ensure that they are trained in the skills that will make them employable or help them start their own businesses.

BASAID will support the Agape Foundation in selecting 30 teenage boys from the Yerraguntla slum in the Kadapa District in Andhra Pradesh to be trained in electrical and plumbing skills for a period of 12 months.

Implementation of this program will change the lives of these teenagers by allowing them to be economically independent, improve their social status, education, health and enable them to lead fulfilling lives.
