, , ,

The NGO, ‘WOMEN FOR WOMEN’ offers a 3-year diploma course in nursing for 100 girls in 3 courses through the St. Mary’s School of Nursing located in the Thiruvannamalai District of Tamil Nadu in the south of India.

The goal of this project is to equip the laboratory with anatomic models and lab equipment (e.g. human skeletons, models of human body parts, 3 computers, nursing mannequins, microscopes, hospital equipment for demonstration purposes) and complete the library attached to the Nursing school.

This project will address the educational needs for 100 girls aged between 16 and 22 years, who have been forced to discontinue their education due to high fees and lack of finances. Through this project, these students will gain a professional diploma which will enable them to find jobs and sustain their livelihood through a decent salary on a regular basis.

BASAID supports this project with 8,670 CHF.
