The main focus of the partnership lies in women’s health (sexual and reproductive health). The hospital in the south of Nepal comprises a catchment area of around 250’000 people. . BASAID will buy a replacement of the recently broken Autoclave (steam sterilizer). On the long run the Spital Limmattal will invest in the building of the new Maternity Department (Obstetrics and Gynaecology). The far aim is to help creating a fully functioning obstetrics and gynaecology department including emergency obstetrics care.

Im November 2015 spendete das Spital Limmattal gebrauchte chirurgische Instrumente an Dr. med. Ruth Gonseth, die im Bakulahar Ratnanagar Hospital in Nepal gearbeitet hatte. Später beschloss das Spital Limmattal Komitee, eine Krankenhauspartnerschaft mit dem Bakulahar Ratnanagar Hospital nach der ESTHER Prinzipien.
