The aim of the project is to provide 18- to 34-year-old men with an apprenticeship as a metalworker (welder). They can get a one-year training with practical experience on real construction sites at the Akwada Business School. Upon completion, participants will receive tools in order to become independent.
On-site project management will be carried out by the local organization Akwada. This will be led by the Swiss Rahel Marty Ngargam and her husband from Chad, Joseph Ngargam. This project is a continuation of the projects training of construction professionals in the years 2017 and 2018.
