Development of educational labs at junior college in Pune, India

, , ,

The institution Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Sanstha (MKSSS) in Pune was founded in 1896 by the great visionary and social worker Bharat Ratna Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve to provide protection for destitute women and is dedicated to “empowering women through education”.

Even today, girls from rural areas cannot get access to education due to factors such as poor financial condition, insecure atmosphere, non-availability of schools in the vicinity of their homes and many other reasons. Since 1896 MKSS has assisted many young girls by educating them and empowering them to become self-reliant.

The Medical Laboratory as well as the Electronics Laboratory that were built, will be used to train the female students in professional courses to enable them to either start their own business or gain employment in relevant fields.
