Resilient women with sustainable venture, Peru

, , ,

In rural areas in Peru, less than 50% of women have
possibilities to complete a technical education to earn their
living. Women face additional challenges in accessing
opportunities, education and employment. As the main
caregivers of the children, they have less time or options to
generate their own income. Engaging in informal jobs or
underemployed and receiving less than minimum wage.
Women are at risk of poverty and violence.
This project aims to support women at risk and/or who
have overcome some type of violence in Cajamarca to launch
sustainable ventures for their economic independence.
