Library and Books in Rasuwa District – Phase 2, Nepal

Phase 2 of the project from 2019. This project continues in a second phase with the completion of the library in Jibjibe, Nepal which BASAID has already supported in 2019. Unfortunately, costs have been higher than initially budgeted for due to increased material and transportation costs. The additional funds will be used for building completion, furnishing and the initial supply of books, training of local teachers and librarians. The library will be open to all students, schools and residents in Rasuwa and will be free of charge. The library will be run by HHCP Nepal in conjunction with the Jibjibe school and community leaders who have formed a committee to ensure that the library is properly maintained and staffed.
