Village Chance was inaugurated in 2011 and, across
its 3,500 m² complex of housing, schools, and therapy
facilities currently serves over 350 vulnerable
individuals, including disadvantaged children,
wheelchair users, and people with disabilities.
The existing fire alarm system, installed 14 years ago,
has become unreliable with frequent malfunctions, the
underground water supply pipes lack sufficient
pressure, the alarm bells no longer synchronize, and the
system fails to meet current safety regulations. This
poses serious risks to residents with limited mobility who
would be in more danger during emergencies.
The project will install modern fire detection equipment,
alarm systems, and upgraded firefighting infrastructure
thereby ensuring long-term safety for this vital community
centre which serves one of Vietnam’s most vulnerable
populations.
