Many villages in Cameroon that are close to the border with Nigeria, for example in the Mayo-Tsanaga region, are frequently affected by Boko Haram attacks. Countless families have lost their relatives, property or homes. Thousands of women, men and children have been traumatized and victims of abuse and violence. A pilot project has shown that it is important to give women the opportunity to generate an income in order to lead an independent life.
