In Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh, India, fishermen face economic instability, environmental challenges, and social issues. The Society for People’s Education & Economic Change (SPEECH) aims to support 125 families by repairing 25 boats, providing 25 sustainable fishing nets, and training fishermen in sustainable practices and financial skills. The project will also strengthen cooperatives for better market access and implement health and safety initiatives. With a budget of 13,750 CHF, this initiative seeks to improve income stability, promote marine conservation, and enhance living conditions for 500 indirect beneficiaries.
