Peruvian women are overrepresented in informal jobs and receive low wages. This is aggravated when it comes to young women from rural areas who face significant challenges due to their vulnerable situation, which often includes poverty, discrimination and lack of access to education. This project aims to strengthen technical and leadership skills, providing 15 young women and adolescents from Kcauri-Ccatcca, Cusco, with the necessary tools to implement economic ventures. They will receive training in fusion cooking and new Andean baking, basic cosmetology workshops and the manufacture of ecological bags.
These trainings will be provided to women who, due to their status as Quechua-speaking indigenous people, are discriminated against and are at risk of human trafficking, illegal work/forced migration/early motherhood.
