Ave Maria Mahila Mandali (AMMM) is a nongovernmental, non-profit organization working for the
marginalized communities since 1996. BASAID will support AMMM with the purchase of 100 bicycles which will be distributed among girls in 4 villages throughout the Nellore District in the Andhra Pradesh State. The bicycles will enable the young female students to get to school independently of public transportation which runs infrequently and is not coordinated with school and college hours. They will ensure that the girls will attend school on time and can concentrate on studying. Eventually this will
lead to higher academic and professional studies for the girls, discourage school dropouts and grant them successful graduation.
