For more than 30 years, the Deutsch-Madagassicher Verein Esslingen e.V. (DMVE) has done voluntary work to ensure that Madagascar’s poorest young people have access to a good life through qualified vocational training. 230 young people were already supported to learn their profession in five different practical areas and in school lessons. This qualified education at SOLTEC is recognized by the state and ensures an independent future for these young people. In order to ensure a welder education, machines are needed to teach also welding which is needed to manufacture, repair and manufacture building hardware and is an important skill if the apprentices become self-employed later as metalworker. Equipping the workshop with welding equipment and procurement of spare parts for the existing machines enables SOLTEC to teach welding, what is often needed for the manufacture of equipment, for their repair and for the production of components in house building.
