Pathway to Employment, Cambodia

, , , ,

Students completing secondary education often lack
the skills needed to enter the local job market and this
puts them at risk of falling into low-paying day labour,
or even illegal employment, where they may be
exploited.

Vocational training is one way to prevent this and CFI
supports young school leavers with:

  • Life and career skills workshops: Equipping
students with essential skills to successfully
navigate the next stage of their lives.
  • Internships: Gaining practical experience in a real
    work environment and developing
    administrative skills.
  • University scholarships: Financial support for those
who choose to pursue higher education.
Most students benefit from workshops that prepare
them for the next phase of their lives and provide them
with entry points into practical training, and a small
number of students receive a university scholarship.
