This is BASAID’s first project in Mongolia. Book café and library will be part of the children’s education support and protection center in ger district in Ulaanbaatar. In ger district most of the families have financial difficulties, there is high rate of domestic violence, alcoholism and unemployment. Families have to provide with study materials and due the lack of the finance, they are not able to meet this cost and child is at high risk of dropping out of school. The aim of this project is to provide with study materials to minors and to the people with special needs, people with visual and hearing impairment. In addition will support the trainings for children with lesson lag to help them to succeed and enter in to next grade.
