In the Tansa Valley in rural Maharashtra, India, nearly 170,000 people live in 370 rural and tribal villages, where the BASAID partner “PRASAD Chikitsa” runs a hospital.
The objective of this proposal is to seek funding for the refurbishment of the hospital’s open areas, to provide protection for the patients from heat and rain in the hospital’s waiting area.
With the help of BASAID funding, the temporary roof made of tarpaulin sheets and bamboos for the patients’ waiting area will be replaced with permanent roofing, outside areas will be paved and the diesel generator will be encased.
