Hygiene and training for 45 women working in waste collection

45 women will be supported with protective equipment and information material on hygiene

Description

The recycling of household waste by searching for plastic or glass bottles, empty cans, cardboard and scrap metal, aluminum, and copper is an income generating activity in poor areas in Togo. Women pick up and sort garbage in search of anything that may have value to sell it after. These women are illiterate and ignorant of the rules of hygiene and security in these conditions, they are more and more vulnerable and are subject to great insecurity in their workplace. In this project, 45 women will be supported with protective equipment and information material on hygiene. In addition there will be vaccination possilibilites to protect these women.
