Vocational school for construction

12 young men receive a 1 year training to become professionally independent

70% of young people in Bongor, Chad have no vocational training. The aim of the project is to enable 18 to 34 year olds to have a 1 year training as bricklayers. After completion, the participants receive the tools of their trade so that they can achieve professional independence. Project management in Bongor is carried out by the local organization, Akwada, headed by Rahel Marty Ngargam, a Swiss woman, and her husband from Chad, Joseph Ngargam. Akwada cooperates with village communities, associations, businesses, NGOs, foundations, and churches in Chad and Cameroon. This project is a continuation of the vocational training for construction business in 2017.
