Syngenta organized a Family-day in occasion of its 10th Anniversary
BASAID was invited to be present with a boot.
The event was held on August 25th on the Rosental-Anlage in Basel. The employees of Syngenta and their families had the opportunity to share more information about the comprehensive activities of BASAID.
BASAID presented itself with a PowerPoint presentation and a few posters showing the projects in the countries.
‘Write BASAID in your language’ was one of the games thatraised the attention of the visitors. Many different nationalities wrote BASAID in their language- from Dutch and Thai to Hindi.
A quiz regarding plants was another puzzle piece to complete the offer of BASAID.
It was the goal of BASAID to inform and to ‘recruit’ 50 new members. The group succeeded in getting around 50 new members.
the consequences of the floods in Pakistan are enormous and we are also very touched by every new report on it.
We were able to start an extraordinary fund raising for the victims of the earthquake in Haïti with the support of Novartis, but we lack the capacity to start a new action of the same size for Pakistan.
Our Subcontinent-group has already contacts in the region and it will propose projects to be supported by our regular budget, as soon as the realisation according to our principles can be assured.
Only big, international organisations are presently able to move enough funds to be efficient. Please use one of these channels to contribute now.
Basaid was present in the Visitor's Center with Posters and some boots to present our activities in the past, present and future.
Some "live plants" suggested the potential of microfinancing and small scale farming for the development at the basis. Visitors were invited to recognize some more exotic plants with the help of pictures.
With the "fishing-boot" the joung and the other visitors were invited to visit those countries, where Basaid has presently some projects running.
Some simple posters tried to give an insight into our activity and motivated to ask for more information from our active members present at the boots.
We thank the OK of the Novartis Day for the chance to present our activities to a broader kind of guests.

BASAID is present with some boots in the Visitor's Center / Fabrikstrasse 6 .
We will share some information about our projects and invite everybody to participate to some activities related with projects or activities of our organization.
