Goal: Design and Installation of a PV Solar Collector System for Production of Electricity. The recently built Kinderheim was finished on 1st. July of this year. Meanwhile, 26 children have enjoyed their new home. House leader, workers and all of the children are thankful for the Basaid-Support, with new beds, mattresses, closets, tables and chairs for the study-room made available. Furthermore the rooms were additionally sanitized through Basaid finances. The current political situation in Nepal continues to be unstable and the region receives no foreign assistance– neither from the worldbank – nor from the infrastructure of the country. During the Monsoon there is daily 2 – 3 hours without electricity. This increases during the dry season up to 16 hours of electrical interruptions per day. The remaining time with electricity is not enough for pumping water, filtering for drinking water, illuminating the house for the daily work done by the children and for recharging the emergency batteries.
