Our group has three members living in Switzerland. Everyone has cumulated specific experience in the quick changing world of the far east and identified the needs of underpriviledged people. We used our know-how and supported financially projects aimed at improving the medical provision (purchase of medical equipment, education and audits) as well as for the installation of accommodations and specific scools for emarginated (disabled, orphans).
We keep regular contact per letter or e-mail with our highly appreciated partners “on-spot” and we check locally at least once a year some of the projects to ensure that BASAID’s funds are invested as planned.
We feel enriched after every trip and meeting and enjoy the spontaneous communication of appreciation for our sustainable work. We were happy to provide some products of handcrafts from our scools for the yearly bazaar of BASAID. The products are innovative, of high quality and appreciated. We are looking for more active members in our group. We need people to support running projects, but also the input for new projects.
